Attention citizens of Ukraine! The Canadian government has announced a unique immigration program that allows Ukrainian citizens to obtain Permanent Residence (PR) status if they have a family member living in Canada. Please see details and quick facts below:

Start Date: October 23, 2023

End Date: October 23, 2024
 

Purpose: To reunite Ukrainian families.
 

Eligibility - An applicant must:

1. Be a Ukrainian citizen.

2. Be physically present in Canada at the time of application submission.

3. Have a valid temporary Canadian residency status (CUAET, Work Permit, Study Permit, Temporary Resident Visa, etc.) at the time of application submission.

4. Have a family member who is a Permanent Resident (PR) in Canada or a citizen of Canada. The applicant's family member can be:

   1. Partner/Spouse

   2. Child

   3. Parent

   4. Brother/Sister

   5. Grandfather/Grandmother

   6. Grandson/Granddaughter
       

Additional Facts:

1. Currently, there's no financial undertaking requirement for the Canadian family member.
    

2. The Canadian government has not yet announced the application fee amount for this program. However, we estimate it may be around CAD$1,050 per adult.
    

3. There may be a cap on the number of applications the Canadian government accepts for this program. Therefore, if you're considering applying, we advise not to delay.
